Bumbershoot: Day 3 Review

The first two days of Bumbershoot left us pretty worn out although the lineup of artists to play that day kept us going.
Andrew Bird started off the day for us at the KEXP Music Lounge. He played an absolutely amazing solo set as opposed to his full band set the night before. Both shows were amazing although this was a bit more memorable watching his loop and mix his music for you right there on the spot.
Tokyo Police Club were next at the KEXP Music Lounge that day and they played a purely adrenaline inspired set having gone on very little sleep and being in the middle of their tour.

Viva Voce put on a jaw dropping set. With all the intensity that you’d expect from a small venue show, the duo rocked out some of their catchiest songs. It was great to hear some good ol’ rock music that weekend.
Well we decided to catch Tokyo Police Club again that day after being impressed earlier in the day with their live KEXP show. The band granted us access to record their set on stage. So look for that in the near future!!!

The Frames put on a spectacular set on the Sound Transit Stage. Definitely an act worth catching if you get the chance.
My Brightest Diamond put on one of the most entertaining sets that night. Extremely lively and very outgoing, her and her band rocked out a lot of the songs from her latest release “Bring Me The Workhorse”. Check out our live videos from her set that night here!

Ted Leo & The Pharmacists closed the festival on the Sound Transit Stage. They put on a fantastic show and were definitely waiting around for that afternoon.
Probably one of the more memorable events to happen that night, the 3 songs were up for the photographers to get their shots in and Chona and Eduardo started yelling for Ted Leo to play “Since You’ve Been Gone”… well this ended with the bassist saying to Ted, “Hey Ted! The photographers are quitting because they want you to play ‘Since You Been Gone’.”
To which Ted replied, “Hey, Photographers! Take a photo of me saying ‘Noooo.’”
I felt honored to have obliged…
