MP3: The Long Winters - Pushover from Putting The Days To Bed.

Seattle’s, The Long Winters, brought the 70’s back Thursday night at the Independent. Running out, over enthused to put on a great show, lead singer, John Roderick, took a dive over his amp and into the drum kit after explaining he’s going through a “Space Hippie” phase. The really tight group and confident rock really got the crowd excited and into the set quickly.

Taking requests and maintaing a good rapport with the crowd, Roderick showed that even while on tour he can belt out the songs with the best of them. His lyrical musings and warm tone make you feel like you could sit down with the guy and have a beer as if he’s one of your good friends. A solid set put on by the band as a whole made for an incredible show at the Indy.
